SMC-GOVAN-TW2 is a very popular Tri-spokes on the market since 2018 launch.
Recently more and more people are choosing Brompton 4-speed and 7-speed, and also there are many options for shifting systems.
To meet the demand, we are now have upgraded TW2 to support Brompton 2-speed or 3/4-speed or 7-speed.
1. If you want to keep original 2-speed, you can choose 2-speed, it is easy to change and install.
a. Brompton original 2-speed change to 2-speed, just change the wheel is ok, not need others.
b. Brompton internal gear 6-speed change to 2-speed, also just change the wheel is ok, but it only 2-speed, not 6-speed.
2. If you want to change to 3/4-speed, you need also change the freewheel and shifting systems.
Why write 3/4-speed, that mean both support 3-speed and 4-speed, but the freewheel require is different.
1)To fit 3-speed, usually use the gears from 9-speed freewheel, the last 3 gears.
2) To fit 4-speed, usually use the gears from 11-speed or 12-speed freewheel, the last 4 gears, need thinner gears than 3-speed.
P-line original 4-speed not recommed install direct to 3-speed freebody, need change thinner gears to fit.
All models Brompton support to change to 3/4-speed, but need change the freewheel and shifting systems together, recommend find a professional bike shop to help.
3. If you want to change to 7-speed, you need also change the freewheel and shifting systems.
